Automatic Current Adjustment Guide

  • Welding 0.1mm nickel strip → Set current to position 5
  • Welding 0.15mm nickel strip → Set current to position 6

How to Use

  1. Power On: Turn the knob — the indicator light flashes 3 times and stays on to confirm startup.
  2. Set Current: Adjust the dial knob to your desired output level based on nickel strip thickness.
  3. Position & Weld: Place the nickel strip on the 18650 battery, hold both welding pins firmly on the strip, then press and hold the foot switch. After 3 red flashes, the current is delivered and the weld is complete.
  4. Shutdown: Turn the knob to the off position.

Important Safety Notes

  • Avoid using the machine while it is charging to protect the battery.
  • Allow the soldering pen to cool before continuing if it becomes too hot.
  • Recharge the battery when voltage drops below 7.3V.
  • Use only in ambient temperatures between 10°C and 65°C.
  • Keep away from water and moisture at all times.
  • Do not allow the two welding pins to touch each other during operation.
  • Regularly inspect the welding needles for carbon deposits; clean with a file or fine sandpaper as needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What battery cell types can this spot welder work with?

A: This 5000W spot welding machine is specifically designed for welding nickel strips onto 18650 lithium battery cells, making it ideal for DIY battery pack assembly, e-bike battery builds, and power tool battery projects.

Q: Can the welding needles be replaced on this model?

A: Yes! Unlike 3500W models where the welding needle is fixed, the 5000W version (Model 560) features a detachable welding pen with fully replaceable welding needles, giving you longer tool life and more flexibility.

Q: Can I use this spot welder while it is charging?

A: It is strongly recommended to avoid using the machine while charging. Doing so can stress and potentially damage the built-in 4000mAh battery. Always charge fully before your welding session for best performance.

Q: What thickness of nickel strip can this machine weld?

A: The 5000W spot welder is optimized for nickel strips between 0.1mm and 0.15mm in thickness. Simply adjust the current dial to position 5 for 0.1mm and position 6 for 0.15mm strips.
