How to Connect

1. Plug the included USB cable into a 5V USB power adapter (not included) to power the DAC.
2. Connect the included Toslink optical cable from your TV's or device's optical output to the DAC's Toslink input.
3. Connect your receiver, amplifier, or headphones to the RCA or 3.5mm output on the DAC.
4. Set your source device's audio output to PCM or LPCM format for optimal results.

TV-Specific Setup Tips

• LG TV: Home → System Settings → Picture & Sound → Voice Settings → Digital Audio Output → PCM/LPCM
• Samsung TV: Menu → Sound → Speaker Setup → External Speakers → ON
• Panasonic TV: Set audio output to SPDIF output.

Important Compatibility Notes

• This DAC does NOT support 5.1-channel formats such as Dolby AC3 or DTS. Set your source to PCM/LPCM stereo output.
• PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim are NOT compatible — these consoles do not have an optical fiber output interface.
• Volume knob controls RCA and 3.5mm output only — it does not affect Toslink or Coaxial passthrough output.
• Power on the DAC by turning the volume knob (which also serves as the power switch) before use.
• Use only a 5V USB power supply to power this unit.

Q: Can this DAC convert analog audio back to digital?

A: No. This converter supports digital-to-analog conversion (Toslink or Coaxial input → RCA / 3.5mm output) and digital-to-digital switching (Toslink ↔ Coaxial). It does NOT support analog-to-digital conversion.

Q: Is this DAC amp compatible with PS4 Pro or PS4 Slim?

A: No. The PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim do not have an optical (Toslink) output interface, so they are not compatible with this converter. It works best with TVs, DVD players, projectors, Blu-ray players, and set-top boxes that have a Toslink or coaxial digital audio output.

Q: Does the volume knob control all audio outputs?

A: The volume knob controls the RCA L/R and 3.5mm headphone jack outputs only. The Toslink and Coaxial passthrough outputs are not affected by the volume knob. The volume knob also doubles as the power switch — turn it to power the unit on.
