NeoKey Socket Breakout Board for MX Compatible Key Switches
NeoKey Socket Breakout Board for MX-Compatible Mechanical Key Switches
Build custom keyboard matrices and DIY electronics projects with ease using the NeoKey Socket Breakout Board. Designed for MX-compatible mechanical switches, this compact PCB features a Kailh hot-swap socket so you can plug in any MX-compatible switch without soldering — simply swap switches in seconds. A built-in 1N4148 signal diode is included in series with the switch, making it simple to create full key-grid matrices without worrying about ghosted key presses.
Made in Mainland China.
Key Features
- Hot-Swap Kailh Socket: Plug in any MX-compatible mechanical switch — no soldering required. A small dot of hot glue or epoxy keeps the switch firmly in place.
- Built-in 1N4148 Diode: Eliminates ghosting in key-grid matrices for reliable, accurate key detection in every build.
- Reverse-Mount RGB LED: Each board features a single reverse-mount pixel shining upward through the switch's LED window, fully chainable for stunning lighting effects.
- Chainable In/Out Pins: Link multiple boards together and control them as a single strand — perfect for custom keyboards, macro pads, and interactive builds.
- Flexible 5-Pin Layout on 0.1" Grid: Two rows of 5-pin contacts on both sides for maximum mechanical stability and versatile wiring options.
- Wide Voltage Support: Powers from 3V to 5VDC to suit virtually any microcontroller setup.
