Voltmeter Self-Calibration Instructions
- When the voltmeter displays output voltage, press and hold the right button for 2 seconds to enter output voltage calibration mode (display and output indicator light will flash together). Repeat with input voltage displayed to enter input calibration mode.
- Press the right button to increase the voltage value; press the left button to decrease it. Note: each press adjusts less than 0.1V — press 1–5 times to see a 0.1V change.
- When finished, press and hold the right button for 2 seconds and release to exit calibration mode. All settings are automatically saved even after power loss.
Tip: For best voltmeter accuracy, ensure input voltage is above 4.5V.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the XL4015E DC-DC buck converter module used for?
A: The XL4015E step-down (buck) converter module is used to reduce a higher DC voltage to a lower, adjustable DC voltage. It's ideal for DIY electronics projects, custom power supplies, battery charging setups, robotics, and workbench power regulation where you need a stable, adjustable output voltage from a higher DC source.
Q: Do I need a soldering iron to connect this module?
A: No. The module features screw terminals for both input and output connections, making it easy to wire up without any soldering. However, solder pads are also available if you prefer a permanent, soldered connection.
Q: How do I adjust the output voltage on this step-down module?
A: Use the dual onboard buttons to adjust the output voltage. The right button increases the voltage and the left button decreases it. You can also fine-tune the onboard voltmeter's calibration by holding the right button for 2 seconds to enter calibration mode. All settings are saved automatically after power loss.
Q: What is the maximum continuous output current recommended for this module?
A: While the module supports a maximum of 5A output current, it is recommended to operate at 4.5A or less for continuous use to maintain stability and prolong the life of the module. Always ensure adequate ventilation and use the included heatsink.
